Sandy Cunningham

Born in 1988, Sandy Cunningham grew up in the town of Château-Richer on the Côte-de Beaupré. In 2008, she obtained a DEC in multidisciplinary visual arts at Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup. In 2013, she took a training course in Artistic Career Management at the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de la Capitale nationale in order to improve herself and acquire new skills. In the Quebec City area and its surroundings, she has participated in various artistic events such as Art Battles for the Galerie D'Art Factory, the Baie-Comeau Symposium and several others, live performances including one for the benefit evening of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Québec, another for La Télé D'ici and for various private events.

In 2016 and 2015, she won the first prize of the Jury of the young painting contest of the Festival Promutuel de la Relève de Thetford Mines. She received the honorary presidency at this same event in 2017. In 2019, she received the Jennifer-Giberson prize at the Symposium d'art contemporain de Rivière-Éternité. She is an artist represented by the Galerie Ni Vu Ni Cornu. Sandy is part of the artist collective "Le Collectif 8".
