Isabelle Rivest

Isabelle Rivest's floral paintings can be considered as imaginary suggestions, inviting the viewer's interpretation. She approaches her flowers as still lifes from past centuries, soft, rich and deep from the Rococo and Baroque periods. At other times, they evoke the discovery of uncertain landscapes with sculpted petals and luminous forms. Other compositions evoke thickly textured floral fields, inviting the viewer to enter.

It aims to capture the delicate nature of flowers, filled with powerful movement, natural form and a sense of serenity in every room.

Originally from the great metropolis of Montreal, his work can be seen in various private collections in Canada, the United States and Europe.
